Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Flood Fixers is committed to making flood-fixers.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or display magnification. We believe access to emergency restoration information shouldn’t be a barrier — if your home has standing water at 2 a.m., you shouldn’t have to fight a website to reach us.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our baseline standard. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define how to make web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.

What We’ve Done to Support Accessible Use

Our site is built with semantic HTML so that screen readers can interpret page structure accurately. Headings follow a logical hierarchy, form fields carry descriptive labels, and meaningful images include alternative text. Color contrast ratios on body text and interactive elements are maintained at or above the WCAG AA minimum. Navigation is operable by keyboard alone, and we avoid time-limited interactions that could prevent users from completing a form or reaching our contact information.

We also avoid relying on motion, autoplay media, or flashing content that could create difficulty for visitors with vestibular or photosensitive conditions.

Known Limitations

We’re a small, locally operated restoration company — not a dedicated web development firm. Some third-party tools embedded in our site (such as scheduling widgets or map embeds) are outside our direct control, and those components may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA at all times. We actively monitor for issues and raise accessibility concerns with our vendors when we identify them.

If you encounter a specific barrier while using our site, please let us know. We’d rather hear about a problem and fix it than have someone unable to request help during an emergency.

How to Report an Accessibility Issue

If any part of flood-fixers.com is difficult or impossible to use with your assistive technology, contact us directly:

  • Phone: (855) 204-1124 — available 24/7 for urgent restoration needs and accessibility feedback alike
  • Email: Use the contact form on our site, or reach us at the email address listed in our site footer

When you reach out, please describe the page you were trying to use, the assistive technology or browser involved, and what you were attempting to do. That detail helps us reproduce and resolve the issue faster.

We commit to acknowledging accessibility reports within 5 business days and to providing a substantive response — either a fix, a workaround, or a clear timeline — within 30 days of a confirmed issue.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility isn’t a one-time checkbox. As we update content, add new pages, or integrate new tools, we review changes against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We welcome feedback from users with disabilities as a practical and ongoing part of that process.
